GreyE34 0 Report post Posted October 20, 2008 Good Afternoon I recently bought a NZ New 1987 E30 325i Convertible. I have since obtained the options list from BMW and would like to find out how much the car would have cost when new. If anybody here has access to a 1987 BMW Price list, I would appreciate any help you could provide. Cheers

Apex 693 Report post Posted October 21, 2008 Imports were sold in Japanese yen and would have cost considerably less I think the E30 Convertible would have been the quintessential Yuppie mobile in the late 80’s!, very nice cars. Wonder what a M3 would have cost had they sold them new? About the same I suspect.

yng_750 247 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 Possibly this? http://www.redbook.co.nz/vehicle/specs.php?id=2860 thanks yes thats what i was looking for although its interesting that it says its a 8 cylinder with 6 valves per cyliner lol not quite a 48 valve V8 even bmw doesnt have the skill for that
Apex 693 Report post Posted November 5, 2008 48V V8! Yes, considering they used cavemen technology up until the early nineties on everything bar M cars whilst most Japanese manufactures had multi valve mainstream from the mid 80’s that is truly quite remarkable. $250k for a new 750il!! That’s a sh*t load of money even by today’s standards, back them you could have built a subdivision
