e36/e30 conversion

hi there just brought a wrecked 318is (e36) to transplant the m42 motor into my 318 (e30)

while im taking the motor/gearbox out is there any thing else worth converting? perhaps suspension or diff? etc any ideas or knowledge from previous conversions appreciated greatly.

PS anyone looking to buy a e36 318is gearbox? car has done 156km offers.

you can use M40 gearbox , m42 , m50 or m20 box . just might have to muck around with driveshafts etc .

is it a coupe or sedan , where is the damge etc on the 318is .

yea hoping to find a 325 gearbox to swap in with the conversion also.

it is a sedan e30 and 318is is two door,

is is pretti much wrcked on the exterior panels and that interior's not bad.

been offered 3 320i e30 gearboxes lately one in tauranga one in whangarai both complete kits .

and 1 in manuakau just the box
