Apex 693 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 These will have been done by a few of you but I thought I would post my findings. Upgraded last week. Rear sway bar links $97+GST Nolithane link inserts $29.05+GST Rear sway bar mount bushes $42.92+GST Front sway bar Bushes $42.92+GST Front sway bar mount bushes $42.92+GST Lower Control arm bushes $204.38 I have been meaning to do these bushes for a while and I wish I hadn’t waited, they have transformed the cars behavior big time, it now turns in crisp and stays neutral (no more under steer) throughout the bend and is adjustable (read oversteer) with he smallest inputs from either the throttle or a tug on the wheel, the car is now less jerky through gear changes and the ride is more composed although it comes at a cost to comfort as I can now feel every bump in the road as well as some harsh feedback through the steering wheel due to the mega stiffness of the bushes. If you enjoy driving this is a must do for the E30. I did 300km yesterday and still wanted to keep going. Im totally amazed at how well these little expensive pieces of urethane work, best mod I have done so far,
antony 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 Where did you get them from? Have been thinking about doing this for a while, especially since the front subframe is out of the E30 at the moment
Apex 693 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 Do it, you wont regret it, I was zooming along yesterday thinking I was in a new car, was like my suspension swallowed a Viagra I got them done at Manukau Auto and Tire Centre who got them from Autoline and marked them up no doubt, I just got them to handle everything for me as I have spent far to long Nolithane kitting a car before due to different sizes and specs, thought it easier to get them to pull it apart, measure what size goes where, have them pressed at Autoline in Manukau and install them the same day. Great service too which is rare these days.

Eagle 1662 Report post Posted January 18, 2009 Exactly. Did all the suspension with urethane when i did my overhaul, completely different car. Not so much a comfortable drive anymore but going 100+ seems smooths it out a lot. Makes you want to keep driving like you were saying.
