E36 318i Auto Trans slipping

Recommended Posts

Am having problems with the auto trans on my 1995 E36 318i.

Once the gearbox is warm the gearbox will slip when shifting gears.

When i take off after stopping it goes through the gears fine, but when i slow down for

a corner and accelerate to go round the corner it slips and doesn't go into gear straight away.

Anyone have any idea what the problem would most likely be and how much it would cost to repair?.

Taking it for a warrant tomorrow. So will get the trans fluid level checked.

Its pretty weird, i had the trans flushed about a year just because i wasn't sure what maintenance

was done while it was in japan. I would've expected the fluid to last longer than a year.

How much would labour be to remove old and install new gearbox?
