BradSymes 0 Report post Posted February 24, 2009 My 318i just failed it's WOF due to worn control arm bushes. Just wondering what the general consensus is, is it worth replacing them with the polyurethane ones? The little research I have done suggests you get a bit more out of them, but I'm not sure I intend to keep the car another 30,000km. Has anyone gone with this option? Also, any suggestion for sourcing the parts? Haven't given it a serious look yet, but I can't find any polyurethane ones in NZ. Cheers.

westy 614 Report post Posted February 25, 2009 (edited) Considering I was quoted $349 from JC Glenns price is bushes only. Tricky to do yourself as the end of the arm is 6 sided not round (the larger 63?mm bush) and the arm is aluminium and quite soft. Dont bother with urethane, the OEM style is fine.
