This is exactly what I had done to mine. Accept the reverse gear cast casing in mine had already bit the dust and exploded putting metal all through the valves and channels.

It had a full rebuild with new seals + o-rings / oil and clutch packs etc etc.

It wasn't cheap .. nearly 6 grand. however I now have piece of mind I'm running around in a new gearbox.
