Apex 693 Report post Posted March 18, 2009 On a side note, you will need to order the locator screws/bolts for the disks if they don’t come with the disks, the old ones are near impossible to remove without drilling out. Wish I had have seen this special earlier as I just replaced mine.

Wish I had have seen this special earlier as I just replaced mine. Try CRC Penetrate, that stuff is liquid gold. Let it soak for 10 min atleast, should come out. Other wise I sure someone on here would have some spare bolts lying around.
Apex 693 Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Tried that, hit it with a blow touch also… snapped two keys then hit it with the drill and a large hammer. Would recommend buying two screws if doing the job, will make things a lot less frustrating.

SRBMW 6 Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Also a dot punch is a good way to get the locator bolt moving and impact driver, but yes crc penentrate is good stuff

c.robertson00 11 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 You dont need that locating screw. The wheel bolts hold the rotor on to the hub.

320guy 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2009 You dont need that locating screw. The wheel bolts hold the rotor on to the hub. Yeah but if you take your wheels off for whatever reason your rotors will fall off and its a pain in the ass.
SRBMW 6 Report post Posted March 23, 2009 Yeah but if you take your wheels off for whatever reason your rotors will fall off and its a pain in the ass. I think your calipers would hold them on. Alot of cars don't have locator bolts .Some do Its just to take the stress on the base of the wheelstuds as sometimes the vibration causes damage
