*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Well. It makes a big bang when I drive over big bumps (usually going on average 50km and up) and mettalic rattles in smaller bumps (eg. normal crappy nz roads). The first thing that I would check would be sway bar links. However, these types of problems usually require professional help if you have limited mechanical abilities, and the vehicle really needs to go on a hoist to check it properly. Next time your in Auckland, call in and I'll have a look...ring first though so I can have a hoist free to check it

BreakMyWindow 1874 Report post Posted March 19, 2009 I had the same problem in my old vw golf. It turned out to be something completley random.. the retaining clips for the brake pads. Could be worth a check.
