OSiRiS 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) Hey guys, Looking at changing wheels, I think. I currently have 19" staggered fitment TSW Thruxtons, which aren't really my style. I like dished wheels, but the way these spokes are designed, the way the come out in the center then go back in at the edge just looks abit, An option is Ruff Racing multi spoke wheels, 19" x 8.5" front and rear 38p. Or another option is SSA G-Force 5 spoke wheels, 19" staggered fitment 8" front, 9.5" rear 45p. Note; car will have black Euro plates, HID black housing headlights, carbon fibre bonnet, carbon fibre hood intake, carbon fibre boot, carbon fibre roof spoiler and LED tailights, so the wheels will need to suit! Let me know what you guys think Edited March 19, 2009 by OSiRiS

Guest Simon* Report post Posted March 20, 2009 Of the 3 you've got the only ones I remotely like are the Ruffs - and only because they're basically a BBS multispoke rep. Prefer the CSL's by a long way. Sorry dude

crazyarab 6 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 I think the point being they are genuine i.e. reps will cost you half that probably. Mine are up for sale if you are looking for some deeeep dish. PM if interested. Pic Not 100% sure they will fit though...
JiB 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 Are there such things as BBS LM copies? Cos I reckon they're the best wheel for E46's Otherwise if you must choose from those three, the Ruff Racing's get my vote.

kingkarl 136 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) I think those ruff racing ones are pretty cool - the polished lip is bad ass. Similar ones: These are the ultimate though: But don't pick the wheels that a bunch of guys over the internet like, choose the one's you like best. After all it's your car and your the only person that needs to like how it looks. Edited March 20, 2009 by kingkarl
Yuen 16 Report post Posted March 20, 2009 From the ones you listed, Ruff Racing is my pick.
hybrid 1043 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 do I get involved in this thread or not ? But don't pick the wheels that a bunch of guys over the internet like, choose the one's you like best. After all it's your car and your the only person that needs to like how it looks. This is how people end up with 5 spoke wheels on an e46. Or buy deep dish wheels and end up with a barrel and no reverse lip or stepping. Its also how people end up with the age old umbrella-ella-ella look. Then realise after a year they are over thier purchase they shelled out 2k for (or have bent them) and wished they got BBS or maybe saved another couple of thousand for some custom offset ones. Or use the US retailers for some qaulity reps. Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... Grab some from the US .. yes they do make BBS LM reps .. their are two types one not so good looking the other pretty bang on. Some places for you who do qaulity reps for e46 with correct offsets CSL Reps http://www.velocitymotoring.com/links/wheels.htm LM Reps Check this thread http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.ph...ea+corse+lemans Multispoke are not that hard to clean, you buy a Meguiars large 'bottle brush' style wheel cleaning brush and its easier than doing 5 spoke with a rag. You can also use the hose while brushing to stop any scratching the clear coat. You want the look, then you have to be ready for cleaning them every week. OEM brake pads are good like that
dickhead 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2009 if it was me i wouldn't bothedr changing them, the thruxtons look good as. if you want the black with chrome dish look, just paint the centres black? that would look pretty sweet i reckon. i wouldnt bother with those ruff things, they are less flattering than the wheels you have now
