jordyboy2 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2009 Driving southbound the northern motorway this morning (9.50am) , the man in the white van ahead of me breaked suddenly, I slammed the breaks on but my car just didnt stop in time. lucky there wasn't anyone behind me. I hit his tow bar, and didnt even damage it. Thank god for insurance. Time to visit my friends the panelbeaters tomorrow pics of the damage

briancol 3 Report post Posted April 7, 2009 Jordan, just make sure your panelbeater uses new parts. I did the same as you last year, drove up the rear of another car which stopped in front of me, and the panelbeater used a second hand nose-cut to repair it and I have just had to replace the radiator etc. The radiator he installed wasn't even the correct one for my car and it has only lasted 8 months. Glenn put a new radiator in today however prior to that he has had to replace the radiator shroud, fan and viscous coupling because of the shoddy parts that were used. On the good side though, the insurance company are going to come to the party and refund me most of the expenses I have had to incur.
