JiB 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 I'm after a brake master cylinder from an E32 750iL to retrofit into my E30. Anyone have one?
CamB 48 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 Note early e32 may be the same, not just 750i (which is all years).

Guest Ari Gold Report post Posted April 14, 2009 upgrade to a 25mm master cylinder Glen. It's a pretty common mod on the E30 M3's: larger cylinder = firmer pedal = far better brake modulation capability. Here's some good info from our own madhatter http://www.dtmpower.net/forum/australia/17...linder-e30.html And from the God of E30 M3's (I can't stress this enough) Gustave Stroes http://www.e30m3project.com/e30m3performan...1/25mc/25mc.htm The stock E30 M3 one is 23mm, so you're only getting an 18% increase in cylinder size (further investigation shows this to be close to 13%) I can't really comment on the increase for normal E30's as I'm running E30 m3 gear. I know Gus did this swap - he'll chime in no doubt.
CamB 48 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 (edited) He has Nissan Skyline (actually 300zx, but who's quibbling) calipers front and rear and needs a master cylinder large enough to match. Pedal very very soggy with standard e30 m/c. It's a track/race car. Look carefully at the pic: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....st&p=234257 Edited April 14, 2009 by CamB
JiB 0 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 I need a 1" master cylinder or a 17/16" and the e32's is the closest one that may work without too much dicking around. Have 12 pistons worth of fluid to move, and I don't think the stock e30 one is up to it.

CamB 48 Report post Posted April 14, 2009 Is 25/20 the master cylinder sizes for front / rear?
