Forrest 35 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 (edited) Rant. Is anyone else f***ed off with how much the media is hyping up this Swine Flu debarcle? I mean yeah some unfortunate people died in Mexico who couldn't get medical support, but the NZ media is going over board. Case and point: http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/236...mily-shut-away/ And any national news paper over the last 3 days. Have also heard similar views regarding the recession, if the media stopped talking about it, would we act differently, financially etc?? Would there even be a recession if everyone stopped talking about it. Sorry just has been bugging me for the last few days. I'm sure other people have views on this. End Rant/. There was a bigger influenza break out a couple of years ago and the media said 1/10th of sweet f a about it. But when you give it a fancy name the media loves it. I could go on about the effect of the media on the current "recession" but I won't. Most of you would fall asleep... or just skip over it anyway.
