Was intresting to try this diag unit out.

I purchased one of those Carsoft (Knock off version) last week and it turned up today. Thought i would post some pics and take it for a whirl.

It worked just as i thought it would. The Module not responding is just because well i don't have that option in my car.

Even tested out the live data and every page worked perfectly.

Anyway heres a couple of pics.

your door locks have a heater?

I'm guessing this is to do with the door locks and heater running off the same fuse. But would be cool if the door locks did have an inbuilt heater - you know to stop them freezing over.

Some cars do have heated door locks for that reason.

In the winter, if your locks are frozen, many E30's had a

feature where you lift the door handle and this turns on a lock heater

to unfreeze the locks.

What Bravo said, my 750iL had them....aswell as heated washer jets and a heated front windscreen

Very handy in the frosty mornings and I think the door locks were triggered by the remote, but I could be wrong on that.

Dunno about the door locks i know my winscreen water jets are heated, Maybe the door locks are as well.

Yup got two sets of cables one ob1 and one ob2 , supposes to work on 1988 - 2004 models

Sorry to hear that, There is alot of it going around at the moment, Damn recession.

I got mine from trade me, I ended up paying $240 because i was a dumb *uck and did not use the buy now of $220, Some may say its a steep price to pay but compared to the orginal Carsoft version its alot cheaper.

And anyway it was my birthday prezzie to myself (well birthday is next month i just wanted one )
