Creaver 55 Report post Posted May 27, 2009 Is that price for both or each? Thanks for the info/advice.
[email protected] 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2009 Both, the guy gave them to me 20% less, his name was Troy when I come to think of it. Ahhh I just worked out what I reminds me off, kinda the sound of a V8 super car inside. I think all I need to do, is get a proper X pipe. Should make it sound better, and quieten it a tad, also improve power...

[email protected] 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2009 Hmmm yes I think I'll get an Magnaflow X pipe for this. It needs it.... one of those should cut the drone and drop the Db level by around 10. Would give it a nicer tone without a doubt An H pipe is good, but a cheap way of balancing the system, yet offers little in regards to scavenging & causes turbulence in the pipes due to the 90 degree bends, the sound is also a bit American for my taste. Having to order one from USA, there is nothing in NZ and Australia is a bit poor too.

[email protected] 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 You must live around me as I heard your car yesterday heading down Garland Rd. thought it was a Holden V8! that thing is loud! LOL, that was me comming home from work! It sounds very much like a Holden. Alright to your ears or eww? Regardless, Im sure it would be WAY over the limit, must be 115dB or so I'm guessing I'm currently contemplating doing a new system with better bigger mufflers, in all not that happy with this current system....... [email protected] 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 sounds good...like a HSV Then i heard you nailed it a km away on Gt south Rd...haha good one for not speeding in the neighbour hood, wish i can say that for most! Mmmm yes... I tend to give the cars Ive had some fat up on to Gt South road coming off narrow Garland... A bit naughty! Though, if this is the case, its proof its too loud. I'm looking at changing the system to have mandrel bends, a proper, H pipe, with two big 2.5" dual in / dual out Magnaflow mufflers under the trans tunnel/drive shaft, out the back, should be quieter & have a tone I prefer. danj 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2009 sounds nice, but if it can be heard from that far away then I agree, something needs to be done, I'm not a fan of overly loud exhausts... even if they are V8's
