pies 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2009 I'm just wondering if there is a way to check the diagnostics fault codes on the early E30 engines? specifically a 1984 E30 323i (M20B23 i think?) i foudn this: http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/techarticl...gnostics%20.htm but it says it doesnt apply to the earlier engines... thanks for any help... (moto 1.3 specifically) Is there a way to setup a diagnostics system for yourself? IE with a laptop and correct software? Or does this not work at all? Or does this not work at all? Edit: Sorry to hijack Motronic cars with the later model round diagnostic plug has minimal diagnostic capability. Most faults have to be diagnosed the old fashion way...
