M40 Timing Marks

Recommended Posts

As is the M40 has no timing marks, does anyone know exactly where the cam and crank are supposed to be positioned correctly?

There are 2 special tools to do it properly. A dowel to lock the crank at TDC in the bell housing and a tool that goes over the camshaft to lock it in the correct timing position, firing on No1 cylinder.

What are you doing ? have you not got a manual or a copy of TIS ?

The Autodata timing belt book makes no sense.. but I'll figure it out, cant be as bad as a T6 Volvo HAHA.
