Door rubbers.

Recommended Posts

I finally decided to go ahead and buy some rubber protection guards for behind my door handles. Total cost was $51 for all four but thats way cheaper than going through bmw which require you to buy the handle as well a piece.

I got them from here >>Click Here<<

about 10 days delivery and soon as i get them i will do a proper review and pics of the quality and replacment so if any body else is intrested they can decied if they would like to do the same.

Overall i am pretty happy with the set. Best way was to drop them into some hot water before putting the on as they are not as easy

as one would think. $50 for a set of four as opposed to having to pay $50 for the rubber and the cover from the dealer you can't go

wrong.

Very good. Might be interested in doing this.

Did you have a writeup to go off? Keen to know how to put them in, wouldn't have a clue how to.

Yup i came across this on how to get at them.

You will need to make-up a bit of a hook for pulling the slide back once you have replaced the rubbers.

Once you look at the link you will know what i mean. Its very easy to do. The hardest part i found was trying to push the cover back into the door while tying to hook the slide at the same time. Helps to have somebody else there if possible to hold it in place for you. Took me about 30mins to do all 4 seals.

On E36 coupes its harder... the whole window has to come out and be realigned and reinitialised
