DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 i've had a set of 2 ton team mechanic ones for 4 years now... they have been fine for me.
bravo 35 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 As long as they are the correct rating, and they are not the ones with a pin to set the height (ie they are fixed height, or ratchet ones) they should be fine.
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 ^^just out of interest, what's wrong with the pin style ones? Had a set for over 5 years now and haven't had any problems.

bravo 35 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 They're OK, but easy to not put the pin in properly when you're in a hurry, or you lose the pin and then substitute it for a nail or something which isn't high tensile. They're fine, but if you're going to buy a set I'd recommend ones that don't rely on a wee pin.
JaseNZ 53 Report post Posted July 30, 2009 (edited) Just went and gave them a ring (only just got time) $88 for a set with a 3 tonne rating and with screw top, Ment to be higher than the pin ones. So will get a set of those as they are something that will always come in handy. Note: Cheers for the edit Ollie i was in a hurry when i posted it.
