Boost Junky 1 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 I removed the power steering setup in my old Integra and it failed the next wof I went for. Dont know wether that should have happened or not but they told me I would have to put a manual steering rack in. So if the car has a PS rack installed then it has to be operating as a PS rack? This was at a VTNZ also. My 2c
e30plz 1 Report post Posted August 30, 2009 Is a looped P/S rack just what it sounds to be? You just remove the P/S pump and loop it? Mean.

Quinn 1 Report post Posted August 31, 2009 Did you clean out the filter at the bottom of the reservoir? When I took my car into Auckland Powersteering Specialists they pulled it out an it was black as, After about a minute of blasting with compressed air and a few flushes it came up clean and so did the fluid. Probably part of the problem in your case...

Like I said, try cleaning out the filter at the bottom of the reservoir. Its easy and it made a huge difference to the fluid.
