e30 exhaust swap

have got a exhaust like this http://www.nzkw.com/exhaust/twin_1.jpg

wanted to swap for something quieter/ different like this http://www.mufflermall.com/images/mufflers...Muffler.jpg.JPG

exhaust sounds great if your in chch welcome to hear it just want to swap for something different

would prefer the tiwn tip circular one but show me what you got ,

only looking to swap like tips ? can you cut them off then weld the new ones on ? :mellow:

The one you already got is way better IMO. I got one like that, off Trademe. Put it on and sounds good (not noisy at all unless I rev the hell out of it) and looks the goods too. Why dont you want yours?

The one you already got is way better IMO. I got one like that, off Trademe. Put it on and sounds good (not noisy at all unless I rev the hell out of it) and looks the goods too. Why dont you want yours?

I just want a small one with 2 circle pipes that is quieter and looks nicer

here are pics the reason its loud i guess is the massive pipe underneath lol. i just wanna swap the tip anyway so help would be appreciated. Would I just cut the end twin pipes and weld a new one on ? I just want something different :rolleyes:

Changing the tips will not quieten the exhaust, nor is the noise due to the large single pipe running under the car to the rear muffler, the noise is due to the muffler itself.

If you don't like the tips then just replace them, - are they welded on?

Yep, you can cut those tips off and replace them with a couple of straight stainless tips. You may be able to cut the tips off so that the replacement tips are angled in the direction you want. Is that muffler almost shot? The big single pipe looks factory, later versions had twin pipes of smaller diameter.
