OP6 27 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 Changing the tips will not quieten the exhaust, nor is the noise due to the large single pipe running under the car to the rear muffler, the noise is due to the muffler itself. Yep, you can cut those tips off and replace them with a couple of straight stainless tips. You may be able to cut the tips off so that the replacement tips are angled in the direction you want.
