chriszzz 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Hey Guys, My 2001 E46 320i (2.2L) is arriving from japan in about 3 weeks, was wondering if it is possible to chip it to get more performance, also would exhaust/intake be worth doing?

Guest Simon* Report post Posted October 6, 2009 And far from simple Thrash that tiptronic option all you can is your best bet! The 320's are not really a performance sedan unfortunately - just a comfy cruiser

Apex 693 Report post Posted October 7, 2009 Only on Turbo cars, its not economical on N/A cars unless its there to compliment or tune for other mods . Took the Astra from 147kw to 170, 260nm to 310nm. I could liberate 30 odd KW and 50NM in the Megane if I wanted too but im still happy with the speed at the moment. Yea as I thought, would probably do more damage than good to my car
Apex 693 Report post Posted October 8, 2009 Wouldn’t do any damage, they are simply taking your engine to within 5% of what it can do. With a intake and de-cat a remap would yield some good results on your car, would think 20hp. ST240 has a nice ring to it.
