dreadful1 7 Report post Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) Hey guys, I haven't actually been very active on these forums and just been leeching haha. but I thinking getting my center piece coloured on my bbs 17' and I was just hoping to get some opinions on it. My choices are either Gold or Black. I photoshopped it in to see what it look likes. cheerz stock: black: Gold: Cheers, Yongxi Edited October 24, 2009 by Yongxi
greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted October 24, 2009 Omg! You have style 5's! Gold if anything mate. The last thing you want to do is hide the design of style 5's!
Guest FrantiC Report post Posted October 24, 2009 Gold looks wrong IMO. Doesn't suit the car. Black / polished lip is overdone but does look better than the gold.

martyyn 2 Report post Posted October 24, 2009 Leave it as-is. Gold makes it look like a Honda and everyone else has done black with a polished lip. You have a set of very desirable wheels, so Id leave them alone
dreadful1 7 Report post Posted October 24, 2009 haha cheers for the input, I quite like them stock at the moment too and I don't know if I could actually watch it get painted but I quite like the gold. This would take some time for me to make up my mind haha. Yongxi

dreadful1 7 Report post Posted October 25, 2009 Wider in the rear. Like 7" front 8" rear or whatever. Oh cheers for that haha. Sorry to tell they aren't, same size width all the way around. I do wish they were staggered though, love staggered wheels on some E46 i see around.

Mikal 4 Report post Posted October 25, 2009 Love the wheels dude.. but yep blacks been done too much and that gold looks a little strange. What about a lighter shade of gold like this...? or charcoal?...

Guest Ari Gold Report post Posted October 26, 2009 Just a to address a couple of points raised in this thread: There is no point in saving these for an E30 M3 owner, as they're a higher offset (ET41 iirc) than the x8" style 5's one is used to seeing off both the E34 and the E39. They also can't be made wider, as they're a two piece design (barrel and centre) makes refinishing them a breeze though!
