Apex 693 Report post Posted October 26, 2009 The M5 is worth jack in America so its less a big deal over there. Cool car.
Driftit 2068 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 White boy rap music + Supra's with NOS stickers - Fast And The Furious much? Yeah couldn't watch the video due to this. 2JZGTE conversions. Yawn. Seen them in everything. Including an E39 which was once a 520. They are best bang for buck though. But to me the M5's V8 is what made the M5 appeal to me. With no V8 it is just a bodykitted 520 with a supra motor like the one I read about years ago.

Top Secret 2 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 I love it. It was tastefully done, and the owner justified using an M5 as a base. I compare it to a cashed up guy using this as a base instead of the tried and true Supra or GS300.
Apex 693 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 Or IS300. TBH the M5 is a logical base, had you started with a lesser model it would most likely cost allot more and wouldn’t be as good. What other E39's have a beefed up diff with a limited slip unit, a 6-Speed box, beefed up sway bars, shocks and mounts the list goes on and on. I would still rather the V8 though.
