Buying it is the easy part, fitting it is the harder part.

Who told you that it was a blown headgasket?

a mate of mine when it was turning over said that would probly be where its loosing compression, but i thought ill leave it till you have a look, see what you think, but no harm in putting into motion if that is the case

There will be more to it than just a headgasket.. what caused the problem in the first place ??

not to sure really, the guy who i brought it off said the waterpump was probly gone so it overheated alot, and i intended to replace it and be sweet, then it way overheated and never started, i think my best bet after a weekend of thinking is buying a new engine and convert so that may be my plan

I went and had a look at it. You turn it over and the starter sounds like it has absolutely no load on it at all. It is engaging, so it has no compression. I didn't check if the cambelt was broken, I was in a hurry lol.

no problem man im just stocked you went out of your way for another opinion for me, so yea i think im just going to go for the sussing a new engine and get it running that way, if i can upgrade and get a manual convert all in 1 that would be mint but, i think that might be pushing it lol

If your gonna go that way(new engine and trans) best bet is to get prices from Ray (HELLBM), Mike (323e30), or Brent (Brent HARTGE535i) probably

I'll hit up my mate about the engine he has as well which he is pulling out when he puts his m52 in his e30.

It's the same as you have now, m40.

Can do a full manual conversion for the M40 for $600 if you're interested?

Used but good clutch,

flywheel,

pressure plate ond thrust bearing,

driveshaft, second hand box from good car,

clutch and brake pedals on bolt.

master and slave cylinders, but would suggest getting new ones.

Check your PM.

You can have my mates m40, still connected to a good auto box, and it comes with the loom and ecu, and you can even have a a m40 flywheel and clutch for when you convert it to manual for $350. That is a fcuking deal bro.

He needs it gone, making room for the mighty transplant.
