topcat 11 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) well it had to happen. got offered a tidy example of the flagship (18yrs ago). picked it up on sunday and drove it back from tauranga. had been sitting for a year or so,so took a little bit of effort to start this bad boy.(stuffed battery) had to work on the memory to remember on how the reclining rear seats came out to get to the battery. idle soon smoothed out as if it had been daily driver. still very impressed with the performace of the v12. effortless hill climbs and the noise at the upper limits is something else. electric everything and it all still works, even the soft/hard suspension settings. a well maintained machine, shame really. So the big Q,strip it for parts,as the race car needs $$ thrown at it.Or fix the dent in the drivers dr(got one on the shelf) and sell to an enthusiast(its a bit big for the papakura countdown carpark,or so the wife says) twin turbo's?,endless options enjoy anyways ed;dont bother carfax'ing the plates, needing something to drive it back, although it is still reg'ed.at this stage Edited November 1, 2009 by BM Weapon

kento 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 I too have one of these beast's. I call mine "The Bismark cos it's "Big,German & Battleship Grey" They are a hoot to drive. Oodles of smoothly delivered power & torque. Mine is a 1993 model done 194,000 km's. Blows no blue smoke & have had no issues in my 18 months of ownership. martyyn 2 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 As I was telling the boys last night, I still miss mine and would have no hesitation owning an e32 750il again. Not often you see the drop down shelves in the e32 Marty, they are a good score.

Sick Puppy 1 Report post Posted November 3, 2009 (edited) I reckon enthusiast- for the right price. If it is that good a nick, it would be a shame to part it out, and a turbo conversion sounds AWESOME(!)... but should be for those ones that are in okay shape, not a minter like this one! Just my 2c Edited November 3, 2009 by Sick Puppy
