yng_750 247 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 ok guys i thought i would ask you for your own personal brand of opinion on a question that has been mulling around for a little while i am at uni of waikato and currently have a few cars however next year it looks like i will be moving to an apartment or something similar i.e. at best a 1 car garage which im not really allowed to do much work in because of this i will be selling my cars over this holidays and will be looking for a new car heres where you come in i want some ideas on suitable cars ok heres the restrictions i want a big cruisy car but still fast (like the 750 i used to own) over 3500cc if possible 8-12 cylinders not turbo price 3-5k (not so important as i can wait for a good bargain to come along or get a fixer uper so lets say 3- 8kmax) possibilitys i have been considering are 750 740 540 535 635 328 larger mercs similar to bmws above toyota soarer 4l v8 (or any lexus v8) theres also an alfa gtv6 that tickles my fancy on trademe at the moment but not to many of them around so what other cars can you think of that fit into that kind of genre p.s. no falcons of comodores
yng_750 247 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 also a big jag wouldnt go amiss but it would have to be a xjs or similar and manual would be a huge plus
kiwi535 538 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 manual limits your bmw list to the last 4(three in reality)

antil33t 90 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 740i, probably cheaper to maintain than 12 cylinders.
Braeden320 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 Rays 540 if you can make your budget work to that
martyyn 2 Report post Posted November 13, 2009 An e32 740 would be a great car, not sure how many of them are about but that would be my choice. In Lach Silver with a set of 17' Alpinas, clear lights and a very slight drop. Lovely. If you stretch closer to 8k I dont see why you couldnt get a well looked after e38 too. Lots of car for the money if you wait and get a well spec'd one.

Apex 693 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 I know the car also. Join up Eurosport.org.nz if you need any help or advice, there are a couple of Fiat/Alfa nuts on there that can help out or point you to some who can.. Congratulations on the purchase, Alfa's are fun cars. In the same way E30 are fun cars. Take that how you will.
