M3_Power 636 Report post Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) http://www.autoenginuity.com/ This seems to be universally liked and preferred by BMW owners in the USA as a PC based diagnostic tool with enhancement capabilities (like clearing codes, cycling ABS pumps, resetting SMG clutch curves, ect ect) - appears to be rather powerful (have even read guys replacing SMG pumps on their own and reinitialising the whole system with just this with really good results) Has anybody had any experience with it? Recommend it? Loath it? Stay away? Here's the complete list of BMW sensors that it'll cover: http://www.autoenginuity.com/BMW-All-Systems-List.html Any helpful comments appreciate it before I commit to buying one. Thanks. M3_Power 636 Report post Posted November 17, 2009 (edited) Never heard of them...so I can't really comment Fair enough ... searching through m3forums this appears to be the preferred option over carsoft ... especially if you have a SMG car. If you've got the time Glenn have a read through the complete BMW sensor list - shows pretty much the capability of this tool. The reason it's attracted me to it is obviously price point and also the fact that it works with late model BMWs like the E9X series and even the new Mini. Here's the DIY of a guy replacing his own SMG pump and used this tool to bleed the SMG pump http://www.nugadgets.com/customcontent/SmgDiyMain.html The interface appears to be reasonably user friendly by the looks. An article was written about it by Don from m3forums (moderator) in the US Roundel about the AE tool compared to the very expensive Autologic tool from the UK - it appears to be almost on par with it and has live reading of sensors and data logging.
