JiB 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2009 I'm struggling to find any manual conversion alternatives for E34 540i's apart from the 6 speed which costs a million dollars. Is it possible to put together a bellhousing adaptor or similar to bolt a W57 or similar on? Was there a cheaper 5 speed option? I'm also guessing suitable clutch master/slave, flywheel would be just as hard to find? I guess this is the closest to a 540iS for a reasonable sum of money. BM WORLD 1264 Report post Posted November 30, 2009 your can use the 5spd box from a the e34 530i and e32 730i v8 also from e38 730i 735i v8 e39 535i v8 etc a few on ebay.de for about 300euro's . but most wont ship outside euroland. just buy a new clutch and proformance flywheel from the states . plenty of options there.
