l0w320 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 just wondering because just spotted some on trademe would m3 front n rear sway bars fit on a normal e30?
Mike 1 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 both fit but front is actually smaller than E30 325i sway bar. M3 has different linkage system to make better use of the bar

*Glenn* 855 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) Question. Does the M3 bar mount to the strut or the control arm?? I'm fairly sure it's the strut Edited December 9, 2009 by *Glenn*
westy 614 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 So to use the M3 bars you would also need the struts?
*Glenn* 855 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 (edited) So to use the M3 bars you would also need the struts? I'm fairly sure you do .. I'll check this morning Part numbers are all different... but ETK doesnt show the difference. I'm fairly sure the M3 sway bars connect to the strut though and not the lower control arm... I'm known to be wrong though Edited December 9, 2009 by *Glenn*
ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted December 9, 2009 Yes they connect to the strut. Various aftermarket manufacturers make 'tabs' that can be welded to the strut to make use of the M3 swaybar. Josh has done it on his project e30 and I also was running this in the front when I had the coilovers (briefly) installed.
