e30 hub removal

ok so i am replacing my front left bearing, and just need to remove the old hub... is there any trick to taking this off? the hub is moving back a forwards about 5mm, but just wont come off.

any help would be appreciated,

have you got a puller?, its not on tight but it has to come off straight or it gets stuck

dont have a puller, can i use anything else?

ive used 2 pry bars before one on either side at the same time but be carefull not to bend the backing plate etc

got it all off finally, just wondering if i should put some grease on the axle and or just leave it?

just a little bit on the shaft wont hurt
