bravo 35 Report post Posted February 4, 2005 This guy rips down E30's as a hobby/business - he has heaps of parts at around market value - no bargains, but about what you expect to pay on the open market. He has about 10-15 E30's in his backyard (lives in Orewa) I bought some bottlecaps off him, and he was really accomodating when one ended up being buckled and another have a small dent we haddn't seen when I picked them up, swapping them with little fuss. Also got a front valance and lip, boot spoiler and bonnet strut, and he gave me a "bulk buy discount" - I think it was $350 for the wheels with 4 OK tyres, the front spolier/valance and lip, rear spoiler (with slightly damaged finish as I told him I was going to paint it so it didn't matter), and the strut. Not too bad i thought esp since I only had to go to one place and only had to deal with one person.

Gus 5 Report post Posted February 6, 2005 wtf? who the hell would spend 3g on basket weaves.......they are 15" wheels! brand new with mint rubber....all up would be round $1800...and thats some seriously mint rubber
PeteG 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2005 Dammm What sort of punk pays that much for 15s? I spoke to the seller on the phone the other day. He only expected $450 which was the reserve. But 3g!!!!!!!!! That stupid. Good on the seller. I will let you know if he actually gets the cash for them. Man and I really wanted those wheels too. Those would have been awesome on my car. Pitty they have crappy snow tires on them. Good for drifting but dont last too long feel really soggy.
sadida20 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2005 $3000? ? ? ? no way
E30stz 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2005 read the bottom . the guy who bid last says - my final bid is $1100.
bravo 35 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 A little confusing, but even at $1100 - still very pricey. Some people just get caught up in the bidding I guess, but really - $3k??? I am going to see the seller about some other parts this afternoon - if they have been collected, I will let you know what was actually paid for them. Grant 4 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 Who ever paid $1100 got ripped off. You could get a long way towards some 18 inch chromies for that price. Cheers
bravo 35 Report post Posted February 7, 2005 You could get a long way towards some 18 inch chomies for that price. In that case, I'd rather have the weaves even at that price lol.
