E30 questions

Car is a 1990 325i touring automatic.

1. There''s these 2 wires both sides of my engine bay that have been clipped, the part number brings them up as being for a 'pulse generator' - diagram'. What do these pulse generators do / how important are they? I'd never heard of them before.

2. Is the fuel filter mounted somewhere abnormal in facelift 325i auto tourings? Cause I just noticed today that mine doesn't have one in the usual place  (see pic).

3. Are the headlight squirters and wipers supposed to operate with the main ones?

4. Whats the go with fitting mt1 fron't and back to facelifts?

Cheers

Fitting Mtech I kits to facelift cars is a pain. Get the angle grinder out and start sawing sh*t.

The headlight wipers only work when the headlights are on. And only once every 30 seconds. Turn the lights on and then pull the windscreen wash lever. If nothing happens the headlight wipers are screwed. 99% of them are anyway.

(1) ABS speed sensor wiring (if fitted)

(2) Under the car in the rear

(3) Only when the headlights are on and you use you windscreen washers

(4) Others may be able to help with this one

Front - not a problem. Rear - as said, get out your angle grinder!
