How much should I be expecting to pay for E36 M3 17"s

Recommended Posts

Guest Ari Gold

Direct fit any E36.

I don't think I'd pay more than $750 for a mint set, though having said that, I prefer them to DS2's.

Edit: Style 22's never came staggered either.

Oh right, Type 22 didn't come staggered, just 7.5" wide and have a slightly different face design.

I see that style 39's do come staggered, 7.5 & 8.5. M Double Spoke II's

Looks like I put the wrong picture up.

After Style 39!

If you come across any oem staggered sets for our E36's, you pay what the man wants you to pay, I like oem for plenty of reasons and 39's are rare, dont see many of them around, if they ever do come up for sale, I am predicting demand will have those around the 1k mark...but really the market at that very time will dictate, we can only guess.

For rims only maybe, theres a set of style 24 staggered wheels on tm for $1500. Style 39's will be priced around that.

Style 24 did come in staggered

No is saying they didn't

I had non staggered 24's originally and swapped to style 39 staggered as they are a stiffer wheel , they may also be lighter.

The 24,s were prone to flat spotting if treated hard.

I find it hard to believe that a cast rim is lighter and "stiffer" than a forged one, as the original staggered style 24's with "bmw motorsport" around them were.

Any proof of the flat spotting of that particular style? I've never ever heard of this.

That's the first time I've heard of such a scenario Ron. I haven't noticed anything on mine but I wasn't looking either. Interesting point, as if we go by this would it mean that the more spokes the better given all else is equal?
