APT 194 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 Does anybody know if you can adjust the bonnet on a e30 ? The front end (headlights end) sits to low when closed,Ive tried putting washers to raise it up but then it doesnt want to clamp down and close, then ive tried adjusting the 3 mounting bolts on wither side but still no luck. Any other suggestions ? Thanks Andrew
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 have you had the gaurds on and off? they could be sitting too high. i have had the same issue and once i thought of the gaurds being too high rather than the bonnet too low i sorted it
pureboiracer 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 take the grille out and adjust the bonnet catch, that should fix your problem.
APT 194 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 What is the bonnet catch ? is it the lock on the drivers side?
antil33t 90 Report post Posted March 19, 2010 It's on the passenger side, you have to take off the passenger side grill to get to it.. and it's got two bolts with the slidey grove...
APT 194 Report post Posted March 20, 2010 it is already at its maximum. Will try the guards, are there a difference between FL and PFL and coupe and sedan ? The ones on the car dont have any side indicators
