wont start

Recommended Posts

Hi im hoping someone might be able to help me I have just purchased anonther e30318is, so you know part of the price was because the last owner couldnt start it?

When I got it home I noticed the petrol gauge was below the light so the first thing i did was stuck 1o bucks of petrol in.

then I have checked the plugs. they do need replacing however they were dry aprt from number 4 was slightly wet?

I have also cleaned the air cleaner out? I have also stuck a new battery on it does sound like its got good compression.

could it just be starved of petrol as the last owner had run it dry and has been stud since new years?

thanks for any help.

A little more info,

Have you checked its got spark ?

are you sure AFM is fine ?

Do you have fuel pressure tester ?

Cover your basics and cross them off one by one

Any splutters when you try and start it ?

Fuel pump could have burnt out, but im not sure, never had one completely die.

I would have thought fuel pump issues would cause spluttering and power drops, thats what i had
