Parabolica 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2010 (edited) Just introducing myself, The name is Rob and I have recently purchased an 89 325i Manual. South African build with all the fruit that goes along with them. Have owned a few E28 525's and still have an 1988 E28 535i too. Good tow car : ). Been on Targa many times in our Lotus Elan in the past and have run a few escorts in Classics. The next logical step was into an E30 for me. Front engine, rear wheel drive, plenty of torque and superb handling. And leather. Not something you get in an escort! Its totally standard so I am currently removing and adding things to make it a fun road/track day car. Found these forums to be invaluable so far and it seems there is a great bunch of people here to give advice. Hope to make it out to a meet soon. Cheers Rob Edited March 29, 2010 by Parabolica

Parabolica 0 Report post Posted March 29, 2010 (edited) Nice clean and tdy engine bay you have there. Did you repsray the intake manifold? Have not touched the engine bay or anything. Totally stock and does not even have the usual yellow protectant on the cam cover! When I saw it I knew I just had to grab it because it was not going to sit around for long. I have the full stamped service history from new from South Africa in 1989. The first owner in South Africa brought the car here when they came to NZ in 1996 and continued the bmw servicing until recently. They then sold it not very long ago to the guy I got it off. And dont worry guys, i have some lower springs to put in it shortly : ) I have added some pics of the Elan as requested. The first one is at Pukekohe and the second is from Targa a few years ago. Im sure some of the guys on here will know the car and my old man Tony. Edited March 29, 2010 by Parabolica
