E30 1988 Touring

Recommended Posts

Hi

Some time ago I posted this topic but didnt get anywhere so I'm trying again.I'm doing a restore of this car which I've had for awhile and now want to replace the original carpet sets . There are two bonded sound insulation foam/ carpet parts which are split under the front seats. The foam is moulded to the floor pan shape so trying to just recarpet is problematic and I would prefer to find the correct parts .Jerry C's had them in stock Nov last year but BMW ended them in Dec and I understand the parts world wide have been returned to BMW. Probably to be auctioned off for RH drives to UK rest to where ever.

Anybody able to help with leads on where I can try to source these two parts

Part numbers 51471976660, 51471947323

Thanks

I would say your best bet is to source some mint second hand carpets, both E30’s I have had have had absolutely mint carpets so im guessing there would be plenty out there, sedan and touring will be the same.

Call Ray at Hell BMW.

If you want new an auto trimmer can re-trim the stock foam underlay with new carpet.

You couldn't possibly source actual black E30 carpet could you Glenn? Not the grey stuff, actual anthrazite.

Can you run these numbers to see if I'm on the right track?

51 47 1 933 602

51 47 1 922 542

51 47 1 911 371

bugger indeed!

Is that Germany showing NLA?

I've got 51471933411 showing $861.59USD, is it the same part?

I'm guessing if it's telling you it's NLA, then it's very definitely NLA.
