Remedy play in Rack

Recommended Posts

was looking through my last WOF inspection sheet and thought id start doing a few things on my car to get it going so if i sell it the buyer will hav a working car or if i keep it i know it will work

so i was wondering how one would go about 'remedy play in rack'???

and got a few other things like a worn steering universal

and link rod end loose (sway bar i think)

so are these easy to do like i can do myself?

thanks in advance

cheers

I think that those things he mentioned are causing the play in the rack, I've never heard of a rack wearing out. The link rod end could also possible be the tie-rod end, which shouldn't be too hard to replace. you will need an alignment afterward though. if it is sway bar related then thats also a pretty easy job.

ok this is exactly what it say in the sheet

' right front sway bar link rod loose'

'remedy play right side of rack'

' lower steering universal worn'
