mattgoldsbro 0 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 Hi all was just wanting to see if it was possible to fit a later model Auto shift knob to replace the T bar style one in my 96 E36 ? Thought it might modernise the appearance etc Cheers
Mark 178 Report post Posted June 8, 2010 Yes, it can be done. But you need to replace the whole shifter and not just the knob as there are a few small differences between the shifter arm and mechanism on early and late cars. There are writeups on the net, a search on Google should help you out.
