Hello all from E32 735i owner

Recommended Posts

2nd post, first wasn't so much fun, but I thought I'd say hello.

I have recently bought a '92 E32 735i (notice a serious lack of E32s on here), going to play with it a bit. Suspension is a bit soggy, but have already got some Bilstein Sport shocks and trying to get some H&R springs off Keith at the moment. Plus I have a full compliment of upper arms, tie rods, pitman arms, bushes and pretty much anything that has a ball joint on it, to fully rebuild the suspension.

Then it will be some decent wheels and possibly a custom paint job... or more, not decided.

That's if I can get it to run on more than 1 cylinder that is (see first post).

Jay

Hey Brent, thanks for the welcome. Funny you should mention the 5-speed conversion, I don't mind the slushbox but it does occasionally annoy me and was thinking on the weekend it would be pretty cool as a manual. Will see what gremlins are living under the bonnet, so no doubt will need your services for that, then will investigate the manual conversion further.

Ok, ok, ok, some fricken photos for you....

I'm the second owner! It does have a few age-related issues and the clear coat is in a bit of a mess (chips all over it), but it was been bought as a project car and everything that is worn-out would have been replaced as part of my plans anyway, so none of it matters.

Cheers for the welcomes guys

I love the interior, the drivers seat has a little wear, the rest of it looks barely used. I reckon I can fix the drivers side with some decent leather food and make it look like the rest.

And I agree, there is something about the E32's proportions, they just got it right.

Had an E32 735i about six years ago. Liked it a lot, especially for open road travel. My sister-in-law used it as a wedding car and it looked stunning.
