Carl 3 Report post Posted March 23, 2005 (edited) Fortunately for me, the better a tyre is the less it lasts hence Slicks lasting about 250Km, Tarmac Rally tyres (road legal) 5-10 relatively normal driving maybe 1000km hard out Vote we change your user name to "Tire Whore" just like Tim should become "Meet Whore" or is that "Meat Whore" Ian should be "Car Whore" Gus just "Whore" Sparkle "Whored by Gus" ... my_e36 43 Report post Posted March 23, 2005 G-III is a lot better than G-II IMO much quieter, longer milage 20000km vs 25000km (real figures, as I used both) 25K .. is that supposed to be good milage on a set of tires ??Cause i've done 24K and i'm not even half way through them ... and i'm not easy on them ... That's on a compariative scale. Different ppl have different driving style and tyre size which has some effect on the wear too.
petone 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2005 40K is about average ofr family car etc. I got around 25K off my toyos, with the amount of camber in the back i have thats not too bad. Dam performance tyres, cost ya more and don't last as long. Atleast were not driving VW Tourags, one came into work, had 275 R19 pirellis on it. They were good for only 10K and cost nearly $1000 each. Thats close to 4 grand on tyres for 10000 k driving!

I can't even imagine people putting 22" Rims and tyres on their SUVs.....I wonder how much are one of those tyres cost? Truck and Bus are only on 22.5" rims.... I suppose those last longer than 10000km Might as well put truck tyres on a SUV (yeh, I know they don't fit.... Just saying...)
