Haha, sorry I really am not the greatest with exhausts and such. What exactly did he do? Sorry to be ignorant :)

He removed the back box and replaced it with two straight through pipes, this sounds great on my car as the biggest noise reducer is the centre muffler, was a bit more complicated than what you need doing, I just posted it to show that he does a nice job.

On yours he will simply cut out your centre resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. So one hours labour and a pice of pipe. Easy.

There are equally good places around town, im sure someone can sagest some.

Woolf's Mufflers. Charge 60 per hour IIRC, then material on top of that. Located Dominion Rd, towards CBD direction.

Awesome! I needed to find a muffler guy in town.

Woolf has a good name, have heard many people raving about them, they also supply and fit Remus from memory.

M530i, have you thought about just replacing your rear muffler with something less muffling? If its anything like my old E39 it will have two back boxes, replace them with one and it will make some good noises.

Would be worth having a talk to a pro befor cutting things out :)

Your car will probably also have pre and after cat sensors so you will need to replace with a high flow cat. I am sure Glenn will be along soon to either dispute this or back it up :)

Woolf fitted the exhaust I bought elsewhere

Quite hilarious

Both times I went there they were telling me how half their business is from asians bringing in M5s m6s AMG Benzes and Audis to cut out the exhaust cats/resonators and make them louder LOL

and they all sound absolute crap afterwards too

strongly recommend not simply cutting it out.

pay some money and get an aftermarket replacement

don't

until you got the money to get a proper replacement lol

if you do a chop shop weld job you'll regret it

they sound crap, even if you want louder, its not the kinda loud you want lol
