central3 31 Report post Posted August 27, 2010 Last job on the list was a strut brace - what am I going to do now? Brace was made by splitting a piece of 30mm stainless tube and then removing 12mm off the diameter. Clamped the 2 pieces in a curved jig and tig welded together. The result is an oval shape, pretty ridgid. Buffed and polished. The end plates are 3mm plate cut, filed, brazed together and painted. Good way to spend a cold wet weekend.
