Driftit 2078 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Just wondering how you get the correct part number for websites such as pelican parts? e.g. The websites require an 11 or 7 digit part number. But all the parts I am searching for have 10. e.g a 320 fuel injector 0 280 150 716 or a fuel pressure reg 0 280 160 249 How do you convert these so that I can search for those parts rather than clicking on pictures trying to find them? thorburn 121 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 http://realoem.com/bmw/select.do?kind=P&am...=E30&arch=1 much easier to find the part numbers here
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Yeah thats actually where I am trying to search. The parts listed for my car are not the ones that are on it. I want to know where they came from. And if you have the 7 or 11 digit part number it will list a number of vehicles that the part came on.
Silver Fox 43 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) Preface fuel injector 13641284408 Pressure reg 13531722039 realoem.com/bmw Just re-entered these numbers, which I got from realoem, and they don't come back up as being what they are, the injector number comes back unknown? What's the story? Edited September 5, 2010 by Silver Fox
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 Yeah just trying to figure out how to get the BMW numbers from the Bosch numbers. They have some sort of code. 13641 is injectors 12531 is Pressure regs Played around with the next three digits but they don't seem to have any relation to the part numbers. The final 3 digits are the finial 3 numbers of the Bosch number however.
Driftit 2078 Report post Posted September 5, 2010 (edited) Found the Bosch ecat. You are able to search by car or by Bosch Part number. In some cases you are able to obtain the OEM part number. Which sometimes has nothing in common with the number on the part. E.g. The Bosch 0 280 150 716 injector has the OEM number of 13 64 1 726 989. Type that into RealOEM and you find them. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?par...&showeur=on Bosch Ecat http://ecat-online.bosch.de/toc/en/0000rmK...ndexFramesetJsp How did I end up with a 3 bar Fuel Pressure Reg on this Donor motor? Thats a bit much for an M20 thats for sure. Only 320 they came on was the 320is. Which is an S14 motor. So that gets biffed in the parts bin.
