Wow, you masked up, more dedicated than I

Looks great, just remember that the cleaning gel will take the wax off.

Hehe and i'll get the parents to claim gst back for their business :D

Thats one good looking 4x4 :P

Seriously though that looks superb....youve done a cracking job. I have the soft gel stuff and Im sure it said 'safe for wax' or something like that.

Im starting to plan a day to spend the washing, polishing and waxing etc. Unfortunately I dont think the shine is as effective on a silver car as it is the darker colours.

Masking the car up though....that is some serious dedication. :thumb:

Yeah - the car is parked on a steep angle. The tar drops off alot on the right hand side.

Gave it a nice 4x4 ride height on L/F

<_<

This is true. you shouldnt have to wax again for 4 months or so.

I actually prefer Mother's. I have tried both "3 step systems". pretty similar tho

yep i use mothers just cos carl uses that other stuff!I think MOST car washes ares wax safe..dishwash liquid will strip your wax off,do that a couple of weeks before show and shinewash again with proper car wash, clay bar, polish.glaze ,wax and wax again..i reckon that would take at least one whole day!!!!And of course you really need a garage cos you cant polish and wax in the sun(or rain)he next day you can do the wheels, tyres, black trim, and the interior......phew

:o dam i got ripped when i bought my stuff, soap, wax and mag cleaner, came to like $80+

your car looks soo shinny B)

whats the RRP at repco?

i used to use this stuff from my old mans work called silicon glaze or something, thats best finish i have ever had on a car, after ur done the cloth would just slide of the bonnet. it was a pain in bum to use though

I'm not sure of the RRP as it's not on my docket. At a guess add 20%.

Repco should be your last port of call, because RRP pricing is steep as far as automotive accessories go.

A joke in the trade is Repco stands for:

Rip

Every

Poor

Cnut

Off

 ..

Iv'e heard of silicone glaze. Never used it however.

Cheers for the thumbs up guys/gals... make the effort that much more worth it :)

Guest Andrew

Andrew, confirm / deny?

When I use it, it takes it off, using too much?

Some sh*t does - like dish washing liquid. I've found the meguairs gel leaves the wax on.

By the way - car looks awesome.

Which bottle says what, that Palmolive takes the wax off cars??? Is a good hand cleaner, should keep a bottle in the garage just in case...

Paul, you stick to Mothers, I see your bonnet was the only clean part of your car...but I guess that's the only part you need to clean as it's all you see when you're driving...you're not Scottish are you???
