Heino 1 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 Is it hard to change bonnets over? Also how much did all the supplies cost incl. electric sander? How often do you need to change the sanding part of it? How much do you expect professional painting of bonnet to cost? sanders cost me nothing as dad has 2 and grandpa has a beast of a rotisary sander. and the supplies only cost 55 bux and sanding pads i have not used many. just strt with coarse and then fine. and get it proffesionally painted which ima get a quote for this saterday. *its good fun and experience thats y i mainly did it. for a project otherwise i wlda just taken in my bonnet to get done.*

hotwire 352 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 amen to that thats y i sanded to bare metal! Don't mean to critisize but bog won't stick well to smooth bare metal - it needs to be roughed up to have the bog key to it properly

westy 614 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) Best to have a 'key' (rough surface) for it to stick to. Can be steel or paint in sound cond. Needs to be super clean too. Edited September 21, 2010 by westy
