_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) so im doing the suspension up front myself, and have assembled the strut for installation. have anchored the strut using the top mount so i dont have to deal with the weight, and i put the outer ball joint into place in the bottom of the strut. i have not replaced this as it is fine. when i put the nut on to bolt the strut to it, the thread spins around and i cant get the nut tighter (is like a cock in a sock, its not even tightly on/loaded). tried to back the nut off and i cant do that either now how do i stop the thread from turning????? *Glenn* 854 Report post Posted October 1, 2010 Put a jack under the control arm to load up the taper in the ball joint and tighten the nut
