Tristan 338 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 (edited) Considering wrapping my roof. Trying to decide on matte or gloss black. I'm no Photoshop wizz so later when I get home I'll stick a photo up if anybody wants to have a play around. What are your guys thoughts? If I get it done it will be by Carfolie. They have some examples of it on a Benz in their website gallery but I don't know what it will look like on an E39... Looks pretty good here: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39-m5-e5...eferrerid=44410 Edited October 10, 2010 by Tristan
Lucan 196 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 I enquired about getting seth to do this... Was $300 for matt black and around $350 for gloss IIRC. There are better things to spend that kind of money on IMO
Lucan 196 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Gloss if you do though.
_Matt_ 42 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 I'd have to agree with Blackie. Isn't your E39 virtually stock? keep the $350 and spend it on something more worth while.
blk320i 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 +1 gloss

bimmer boy 21 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 If you insist on doing the roof, do it in gloss. Unless you want to go for the whole 'look what I did with $20 at Repco' look
Apex 693 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 One of these things is not like the other. My $300 would go: Powder coated wheels. Lowering Springs Normal Headlights then the roof.

hotwire 352 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 my thoughts ^ +2. With respect, Don't "rice" it - leave this mod out
Mash 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Lowering Springs easily done for 350. Do that. Then some wide as f**k 19s
Mike 1 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 I agree with the others, leave it alone. I wouldnt even bother lowering it unless you planned to put bigger wheels on it. The Mtech suspension sits at a good height and already catches on certain driveways etc

JiB 2 Report post Posted October 12, 2010 Man that "Carbon Fibre" vinyl looks horrid...to me it looks like they cocked up the resin and left a massive dry patch Keep your car white imho, and what Graham said^
antil33t 90 Report post Posted October 12, 2010 I'd be pretty content with my car if I had an MSport E39... I'd want factory headlights though.
