ssbmw 220 Report post Posted October 16, 2010 Hi I have a friend who has a like new E39 M5. However, the car at some point had an after-market muffler/ exhaust system put on this vehicle and he wants to go back to the original. Yoy may have seen his car for sale on trademe a few months ago- it was one out of two for sale in WEllington. This thing is like new. However, he is annoyed it has after-market exhaust parts (even if they once again look good, make the car sound sensational and are very new). HE wants this M5 to be completely original and his aim is to have it look like it was when it was brand new at Jerry Claytons in 2002 (it only has 63 km on the clock now). I am extremely fussy but this guy is the ultimate enthusiast and lives, breathes his car. It is his life and even the smallest things bug him...
